water is so important. I finally realised that when we learned about water - not just about oceans and the water cycle but about how most of this earth is suffering from water shortage. For us water is a everyday resourcebut for them it's a precious thing as a jewel. I was shocked and surprised about the water shortage in the world . I had thought the world had plenty of water but I learnt soon that just 3% of the planet's water is fresh and out of that only 1% is easy for us to find and use. The remaining 2% is locked in icebergs and glaciers or is underground water.
I really feel sorry for the poor because of the fact that they pay more than us for so little water .
I asked my dad about our water bill and he told me we pay very very little for using so much. We have 8 toilets in our house and almost 20 taps with water coming in them all 24 hours.
I have managed to teach my little 5 year old brother not to waste water anymore and he seems to have understood.
