Where our water comes from and where it goes

It was shocking to hear an see that people have to get up at about 4:30 a.m to fetch water. Children have to get up so early. I bet these children have never been to school . I believe that people have to carry water in mud pots.
My brothers leave the tap running the whole night and when I told them about the water scarcity in the world , they were amazed.
I interviewed a person called Mrs. Kesenia ,who is our family friend. She said that she never saw any water bills and she did not pay anything for the water that she got in her taps. She also did not know where her water comes from and where it went. Bad isn't it?

I researched about how floods and droughts happen. In Australia we have lots of droughts.

In our field trip to a native village I had learnt about how those people were trying to conserve water by a method where the pipes collected water from the roof tops and carried it to rain tanks under the ground to be used later by them. They saved a lot of water. It was fascinating.
I wish people all over the world could find such solutions for our water problems.
